As Event Supervisor at 200 SVS, you will work alongside the events team to assist in the delivery of the various events within both 200 SVS in Glasgow and The Shore in Loch Lomond.

The main responsibilities include;

  • Working alongside the 200 SVS event managers to oversee the delivery of various events.
  • Communicating with external event organisers to ensure their requests are met.
  • Supervising the event staff in their daily duties and ensuring all tasks are carried out to a high standard.
  • Continuously looking for areas to improve within the business.
  • Being pro-active to client’s needs.
    Planning ahead to ensure the various event rooms are set-up to the required standard.
  • Ensuring each of the event floors is maintained to a high standard and reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Keeping all event floors tidy.
  • Ensuring all event equipment is ordered in a timely manner and stock levels are maintained.
  • Overseeing the linen store and ensuring this is kept to a high standard.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery.
  • Liaising with the kitchen on a regular basis to update on catering requirements.
  • Building strong relationships with all departments within the venue to ensure a consistent, high level of service throughout the events.
  • Being mindful of all health & safety aspects when working with external suppliers and room capacities.
  • Briefing the event manager post event of any feedback throughout the day from the client and any additional costs throughout the day.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Event Manager to join Glasgow’s sophisticated conference and events venue, 200 SVS. As Senior Event Manager, you will work alongside the Head of Events and events team to plan and deliver various client events within the venue. The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum 2 years’ experience working preferably within a 5 star/luxury brand or industry within a similar role.

Key aspects of the role include:
  • Supporting the Head of Events in all areas of the operation.
  • Act as out of office support for Head of Events.
  • Overseeing the planning and delivery of larger, high profile events.
  • Overseeing all daily events to ensure standards are being met in all aspects of delivery.
  • Acting as a role model for the business and new team members.
  • Suggesting new ideas to enhance the service at SVS.
  • Building strong relationships with all departments within the venue to ensure a consistent, high level of service throughout the events.
  • Working alongside all departments within the business and keeping up to date with important changes to communicate to the events team.
  • Working with various clients in the planning and delivery of private and corporate events.
  • Managing various client budgets and creating budget spreadsheets.
  • Training team members in maximising revenue through creativity and upselling.
  • Investing time and creating training programmes for supervisors and events staff.
  • Assisting on client showrounds when required.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery within the team.
  • Managing and developing supplier relationships.
  • Managing events staff rota in line with business needs.
  • P&L knowledge.
  • Continuously exceeding client expectations.
  • Working alongside the food and beverage and sales teams to suggest new approaches to the events cycle to enhance the business offering.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an excellent therapists to expand their skills working with a highly professional and talented team. The position is client facing so the successful candidate must be of professional appearance and have an approachable manner. An HND in beauty therapy is preferred.

Therapist duties:

  • Perform client treatments including facials, massage, waxing and nails.
  • Address general availability and pricing enquiries for the spa.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 1 years reception experience preferably within a 5 star/luxury brand or industry. Experience within a spa or salon is desirable, as is having a beauty therapy qualification.

  • Greeting clients and ensuring the the best customer experience is given throughout their visit.
  • Managing the spa diary through phone call and email communication.
